An elderly woman in a wheelchair and a hormone driven teenage boy arrive to a beach cabin where, through rare moments of lucidity, she will persuade him to kill her.
Carlos Conceição was born in Angola in 1979. He majored in English with a focus on Anglo-Saxon literature of the Romanticism. Carlos also majored in film directing at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (2006) and soon after he started creating video art, music videos and even installations. GOODNIGHT CINDERELLA is his fourth short-fiction film, following O INFERNO (2011), CARNE (awarded at Indielisboa in 2010) and VERSAILLES (which was shown in Locarno, Vila do Conde and Mar Del Plata in 2013). At the moment Carlos is developing two feature length projects, one of which to be shot in Africa, near the southern Angolan city where he was born.
