Kiss Me” is the story of Laura, a woman who provokes intense desire and jealous and obsessive passions, fascinating every man that approaches her.
In the late fifties, Laura decides to grab destiny in her hands. She leaves a troubled past and a son behind and moves to Tavira , in the South of Portugal, to live with a strange aunt who makes her dream of America. Fascinated by the figure of Marilyn Monroe in the movies, she transforms herself into the Marilyn Monroe of the town. Years later, her son recreates her story.

António da Cunha Telles was born in Funchal, Madeira Island in 1935. From1955 to 1960, he studied in Paris ,obtaining the following certificates:
– Certificate of the I.D.H.E.C. Institut des Hautes Études Cinématographiques in Film Direction and Production.
– Certificate of the Institut de Filmologie, Faculté de Lettres de l’Université de Paris (Sorbonne).
– Certificate of the Centre Audiovisuel de l’École Normale Supérieur de St. Cloud.
After returning to Portugal in 1960, he began his career as a producer with the following Feature Films, inventing the “Novo Cinema Português”:
“Verdes Anos” by Paulo Rocha;
“Belarmino” by Fernando Lopes;
“O Crime da Aldeia Velha” by Manuel Guimarães;
“As Ilhas Encantadas” by Carlos Villardebó;
“Catembe” by Faria de Almeida;
“Domingo à Tarde” by António Macedo;
“O Trigo e o Joio” by Manuel Guimarães;
“Mudar de Vida” by Paulo Rocha
And co-produced:
“Vacances Portugaises” by Pierre Kast;
“Le Triangle Circulaire” by Pierre Kast;
“La Peau Douce” by François Truffaut.
Directed the following feature films:
“O Cerco” in 1969;
“Meus Amigos” in 1974;
“Continuar a Viver” in 1976;
“Vidas” in 1984;
“Pandora” in 1992 ,
“Kiss Me” in 2004.
In 1979 he became Administrator of the I.P.C. – (The Portuguese Film Institute).
From 1978 to 1982 he was Chairman of the Board and Administrator of Tobis – Portuguese Studios and Labs.
President of the Portuguese Motion Pictures Producers Association from 1989 to 1993.
Manager of Animatografo (Production and Distribution Company) and Filmes de Fundo (Production Company).
As a producer and co-producer, Cunha Telles is responsible for more than 200 titles, among which the only Oscar of Portuguese Cinema History – “Belle Epoque” by Fernando Trueba,1993 Academy Award for Best Foreign Picture.
