Synopsis
Claudelle Inglish, the teenage daughter of a Georgia sharecropper, is in love with Linn Varner, a farmboy. Claudelle’s mother, Jessie, all too aware of her own drab existence, tries to discourage the romance by urging Claudelle to marry S. T. Crawford, an older, wealthy farmowner. But Claudelle refuses, and she remains faithful to Linn even when he is drafted into the Army. Synopsis:
In the New Mexico desert, Police Sgt. Ben Peterson and his partner find a child wandering in the desert and sooner they discover that giant ants are attacking the locals. FBI agent Robert Graham teams up with Ben and with the support of Dr. Harold Medford and his daughter Dr. Patricia ‘Pat’ Medford, they destroy the colony of ants in the middle of the desert. Synopsis:
Just before Christmas, Joe Miracle, a returning WWII war hero, comes home to learn that gangster Barney Teener has taken over his nightclub and murdered Joe’s partner. Joe loots the club’s safe for $100,000 and then finds sanctuary in a settlement house ran by Jenny Jones. Mistaking him for a down-and-out musician, she helps him understand the importance of her work. “Early” Byrd, a newspaper columnist, learns Joe’s true identity and writes a column that puts Barney on his trail. The gangsters recover the money, after setting fire to the settlement house, but Joe steals it again, and returns to the gutted welfare house disguised as Santa Claus, and gives the money to Jenny to rebuild.
