The topic of the film is Alois Brummer, a likeable and inoffensive man from Lower Bavaria, a sex film producer. A man, small and round in stature, unusually active, with a nose for the market, dealing in films and girls in his own special manner in Bavaria – as another man would deal in used cars. There are worse things in our market-oriented society and in film as well. The film describes a forgotten or neglected form of triviality.
Not so many years ago this film was banned in France as “obscene”. Today Parisian cinemas show the films of Alois Brummer, the producer depicted here in his work and his porno-philosophy; and worse still, they show “Sex Business in Bavaria” or “Sex in Leather Shorts.” In Germany the film was awarded prizes, but, like in France, the film industry, which had been the target of the film, chose to persecute its author and not the object of his criticism.
Firstly this is a VHS Rip and the quality isn’t perfect, but it’s a hard to find film.
