Jean-Pierre Lajournade – La fin des Pyrénées (1971)

Famour producer Pierre Braunberger (who produced Vivre sa vie, Tirez sur le Pianiste, Moi un noir…) has said that he only had produced two geniuses in his life : Jean Renoir and Jean-Pierre Lajournade.

Lajournade has only directed two feature films, here is one of them.
It’s a very rare copy but in good quality. You can see how his cinema has influenced Philippe Garrel (whom had worked as an assistant for Lajournade). It’s pure underground cinema from the late 60’s and it’s unfortunalty his last film.
