Insurance investigator Jake Winter (Griffith Jones) goes undercover in jail to complete his assignment, on release he’s picked up by seductive Laura (Zena Marshall). who, believing Winter to be an ex-con, claims she wants to hire him to recover a letter from a man who is blackmailing her husband Charles Dexter.
