In the presence of parishioners, the icon is removed from the ground. The icon is credited with healing properties. As a result, the influx of believers is sharply increasing at the expense of neighboring parishes. The income of Pankrat’s father is also growing. Concerned about this, a priest from a nearby church filed a complaint with his superiors. Having learned about the “miraculous” icon, the authorities take it for themselves.
