Superman manages to locate Kilink’s hideout on a remote island in Turkey where his fiancé and her father are being held behind bars. Meanwhile, Kilink’s scientists finally manufacture a lethal destructive canon-like weapon that can blast away mountains. Superman arrives there as an ordinary man but is captured by Kilink and locked up with his woman and his future dad-in-law. Will Superman ever managed to escape and defeat the evil Kilink? Ömer Lütfi Akad, aka Lütfi Ömer Akad, (b. 1916) is a Turkish film director, who directed movies from 1948-1974. In 1949, he debuted as a film director with Vurun Kahpeye (“Kill the Whore”) an adaptation of Halide Edip Adıvar’s book of the same title. He became one of the pioneers of the period in the “Director Generation”. The 1970s trilogy, The Bridge; The Wedding; and The Sacrifice, is considered his masterpiece. This is a rare little gem from Turkey. The quality (and production values) leave a bit to be desired, but it more than makes up for it in entertainment! I have NEVER seen a movie quite like this, and in fact, at times I’m not quite sure if it’s meant to be taken serious or tongue in cheek.

Presumably, in a previous film/episode (that from what I’ve been able to determine, doesn’t even exist!), Kilink was killed by his former partner, a doctor, once they discovered some mysterious formula to make the most powerful bombs ever.
